In an earlier tutorial I showed how to make a bootable version of OSX Lion (10.7) on DVD for fresh installs. It's also possible to do this via a USB drive for those machines that don't have an optical drive (the Macbook Air and the most recent Mac Mini). It's a little more laboured than burning to disk. Getting on this for saying the bf tried to download a Lion update last night and would've lost everything if he didn't have a time machine back up...
Hi Mel, thanks - you can't have enough backups in my eyes. I've just lost a laptop and it's backup drive including 6 years worth of photos. Very upsetting
